Liesl Ahlers is a South African Actress. She studied Acting for Film & TV in Canada at the Vancouver Academy of Dramatic Arts (VADA).
Liesl was cast as Marina Mills in the Warner Bros feature film Friend Request, for which she received an award in Moscow. Liesl acted opposite William Hurt in BBC Two's The Challenger Disaster and portrayed the role of Zelda in the third season of South Africa's Emmy nominated series Sokhulu & Partners. Liesl was cast in Director Alastair Orr's latest thriller: Triggered. Liesl portrays the lead in the sci-fi, psychological thriller The Construct. Liesl is the voice of heroine, Alex, in the animated series: Seafoam.
Liesl wrote, produced and directed the South African Awareness film: Daylight, with the hopes of creating global awareness on the devastating number of children who become orphans due to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in South Africa.
Daylight is an Official Selection of Realtime International Film Festival 2018 in Lagos, Nigeria and have received a total of 11 nominations, including: Best Movie By an African Female Director/Producer (Liesl Ahlers) and Best Supporting Actress (Liesl Ahlers).
